Tony Perreta has been a freelance sound engineer and producer for 35 years, and a music technology educator for 10. His work includes live event co-ordination, podcast recording, music arrangement and composition for film, TV and theatre. He is also adept at live performance, artist mentoring, audiobook creation, teaching music technology in schools and more.
Tony has worked with many musicians, from rock legends such as Charlie Watts and Joe Strummer to contemporary musicians including Chipmunk and A J Tracey.
He has a long background in nurturing artists as a producer, mentor and teacher. He has collaborated with songwriters and composers, helping to develop and refine their compositions, and has worked with artists to develop technology workflow methods.
Tony has spent 10 years in music technology education, teaching 14-19-year-olds music creation, recording and sound reinforcement techniques. This has taught him how to quickly identify obstacles to learning or understanding and how to unpick the confusion in order to develop confidence.
